Another German medal I am trying to iD. (Actually two.)
Here we go again. I have these two stick pin I can not ID. I have been to probably two dozen military sites and no luck on either one.
Any help as always is appreciated. I have been going through a large collection and have hit a snag on several.....They had a medal or tinnie for just about every thing that happened in their everyday life back then.
Thanks!
DG

Don't know the first one, but the other looks familiar, can you post what is written on it? That'll help a lot.

"treue dienste in der wehrmacht" gives it away. It's a war service stick pin.
"A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything." — Friedrich Nietzsche
"You ask where I live. I cannot tell you. I am a Voyageur, a Chicot, sir. I live everywhere. My grandfather was a voyageur; he died while on a voyage. My father was a voyageur; he died while on a voyage. I will also die while en route, and another Chicot will take my place. Such is our course of life."

Pics of the back and the manufacturers marks are almost always helpful to identification but I found this.

You got it. My pin has the exact same back marks...But what is RDZ? Just one of the multitude of German organizations that exsisted during the 1930's and 40's.
At least we know it is not rare. Probably 10-15 at tops.
Thanks, BC!

"treue dienste in der Wehrmacht", roughly translated "For Faithful Service in the Army" The medal version was awarded for different lengths of time in service, and would have a number on the back of how many years.
I have no idea on the "RDZ" it could be anything from a civic group to a hunting club or even a school. I've looked for it but no luck so far.

I have been collecting and selling German items for over 30 years and still find stuff, I can not ID. They were an award oriented society.

So true, it seems there were medals for everyone and everything.
