    Inherited porcelain box

I inherited this porcelain box...my great grandmother had this and used it for makeup powder and gave it to my grandmother who also kept makeup powder in it (I don't know if that was the intended use of this box but it was used for makeup)
I can't find any information on it...it is marked with a 2...but it is engraved with 1287 and a 1 or I on it (I took the pictures as best as i could so you can see the 1287 but it is faint/foggy...

    Thank you in advance
    Michael

I think it might be English(David Fell) from about 1890-1910, but am not sure.
