Possible Suspender Buckle?
Hello Everyone. Found this nice item while detecting a cellar hole this weekend. I suspect it is a suspender buckle. Can anyone confirm and provide an approx. age?
Appreciate the feedback.

I Often Find Myself Killing Time Looking For What Time Has Killed!
Yes they are suspender buckles,as for a date...... I would say late 1800's maybe early 1900's.The one in my hand below came off a late 1800's site that gave up a few civil war items but mainly later items say like 1880's & 90's more so.They were a ring type of buckle....a ring would clip in the hook part to make the connection.
Take Care,
Pete,

I agree with timekiller and Breezie, it is a suspender buckle and that style dates from generally the mid 1870's to the early 1900's like timekiller pointed out. My experience with designs similar to yours is that they were made late 1880's to about 1892. Good find and they are really getting collectable in the last few years. Timekeeper and Breezie know what they are talking about on this piece! Tennessee digger
