    "brass padlock any ideas on origin and its age"

    Hi all, I found this brass padlock tonight.Its longer than inch and half, the same in width.Any ideas on its origin and age.Has Secure stamped on and also a little sun logo.

    Check beneath the drop for the word "Lever" on the other side of the keyhole. There are quite a few British-made "Secure Lever" padlocks dating back around 100-150 years. Here's a fairly similar example:

    Would you mind reposting that link, Tyre Kicker? For some reason it doesn't seem to work. I thought maybe the comma after "members" should be a period/dot, but changing that didn't help either.
