    Costume jewelry? What is it??

Found this in an attic of this old woman who was a flower child in the sixties and traveled all over the world. There arent any markings that i recognize, and i dont know what metal it is, or who the woman etched into the metal is. Its also not completely flat, and looks like it could be hand made BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS! Anybody know?

A woman with snakes coming out of her head is Medusa of Greek mythology. That what it appears to look like.
I wouldn't know anything about your actual piece, perhaps just a piece of hippie jewelry, perhaps something more. Have to get it tested for the metal content. Good luck & HH!

Yesterday is history, tomorow a mystery. All we have is the here and now, it's a special gift. That's why we call it "The Present"

Pity the poor agnostic dyslexic insomniac who lies awake at night wondering if there really is a Dog.

Yeah thats what i thought it could have been too! I tested it for gold and silver but it was neither. Not really sure where to go to get it tested for other metals lol

She was a hippie. She was in her mid twenties in the sixties. She was an environmentalist, she DID hand out flowers, she did wear floral accessories, and was a lover of peace, hence flower child.

And if ive offended anyone because i used the term "old" , that is the word she used to describe herself. Im fully aware that you are only as old as you feel, and now im fully aware there are trolls on this forum as well, ready to critique anyone about anything.

    Hey Chlorophylliate ,

Beautiful piece, sir. It's very art nouveau, and I suspect bronze.

What is at the top that looks kinda silvery? Is it pierced?

I'd think more Lady of the Lake...

I prefer to call them "geriatric hippies." You see them in Eugene, barefooted, tie dye, or granny skirts, long dirty hair, and reek of petulie oil. I just kind of lump them all in there with Jane Fonda or John Kerry.
Due to the high price of ammunition there will be no warning shot.
