    old native american artifact?....help please!!!!!!

I found this in an old native american ruin that's near an old mining camp in las cruces. i was wondering what it is. i think its made of slate or some other type of stone and it has at least four holes that were drilled in to it but none are complete im not sure if it was made to be this way but im pretty sure its broken.Click image for larger version.

I'm real new to this metal detecting & just signed up for this forum but just wanted to say, I found something VERY similar to this so I'm also curious of what these are. Mine's more the shape of an arrow head but looks just like yours.

Sorry, it looks like a geofact, a natural rock. There are no signs of human working on it. You have a good eye for the shape, keep hunting.

Those guys probably know way more than I do, but I'm thinking it could possibly have been used to work down arrow shafts, or to help straighten arrow shafts. Not a bark removal tool, more of a sanding, sizing, straightening tool. Here are a couple of examples.

Due to the high price of ammunition there will be no warning shot.

    Hey Bosun,

Apparently, if you can believe the photo. Must have had to skin a nauga in order to get the right kind of hide to make them though.

Most Native American artifacts have counter sunk holes from the drilling process. I don't see that with your rock. Keep searching.

I vote "banner" for this comment.
