Lightbulb Need help identifying a few things: an urn, broach, and necklace

My mom has had this urn/vase for about forty years. It has the bottom piece to it, which is a dark wood, with great craftsmanship. I just curious if anyone knows any information on it. Its stunning. The broach has been passed down from generations, but I wanted to see if there were any more info on it. The necklace was given to me by an older woman who said she wore it in the forties. The pearl and diamonds are real. There is a small angel holding the diamond setting and pearl. any help would be appreciated

My mother had a Chinese urn, same shape, different decorations, same base or stand. Yours is possibly Oriental? Love the cameo.

Due to the high price of ammunition there will be no warning shot.

The urn is cloisonné, at least in style. I can't tell from the pictures if it was truly made the way genuine cloisonné is or not. But that would be a helpful term to add into a search for like items. Often these are used for cremation ashes. It looks to me like a 20th century piece to me.

Thank you so much for your response! I have tried diligently to see if there are any markings, but to no avail. I will try to keep looking. It could be a replica of some sort. Just wasnt sure again, thank you!

Hello Breezie! Thank you for your help. I remember my mother mentioning the 1800's and when I took a light to the back of the broach, someone had lightly (naked to the eye) wrote in 1846. There is also a name in cursive writing that I cant make out. Again, naked to the eye. any suggestion on how to bring it out? Thanks!!

Justy, I would suggest using a digital camera with a 'macro' setting (little flower,) and taking lots of pics in natural light, but not direct sunlight. I find an over cast day is best. Post the best ones here, and we'll see what the TNet gang thinks.

My Momma gave me my grandmother's cameo. I noticed there was a name written in cursive on the back. After photographing it, I saw that it was my great grandmother's first name. I was really excited to find out it was another generation older.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics.

I agree with Breezie. STUNNING broch! It depicts Eos and Selene (or Nyx) - Goddess of dawn and moon. Here is a similar one dated 1840 - 1850.
