21 pound magnetic hunk of iron from CW site

    Hey all,

I found this item when I was relic hunting. I thought it my be a cannon ball but after digging it up have no clue. it is a 21lb, magnetic hunk of iron or some other metal. the highest point is about 4 inches and the longest point is about 6 inches. Anyone ever see something like this?

    Ronin HH

Update: Ground into it a little and it seems to be solid metal. At least the part I hit. Lead?
    See new photo.... :P

Dang, if it is a meteorite it could be worth an even bigger chunk!

If it is a meteorite, most, if not all the fusion crust has worn away. This website should help determine if its a real meteorite, or a 21 pound piece of iron:

Re: 21 pound magnetic hunk of iron from CW site

    Hi all,

Just another update. I had a Nickle test done on the object and it came up positive. Meaning it now fits most all meteorite characteristics. I will keep you posted on the progress. May have a sample sent out for final evaluation.
