    Old car mirror???

Found this the other day at a 1800's foundation. The site was occupied until 1930

Looks like a car mirror to me I did find a dust cap for a model-t ford. Here

    Any ideas?

If I had to guess, I'd say it was a carriage lantern bracket. (it would in my mind be mounted so that the circle was horizontal)

For adjustability I was thinking the glass was mounted at 3 points inside the frame

Think about today's car mirrors. The outer frame doesn't move. Only the glass
