New Guy needing help identifying something

I just started detecting a couple of months ago and yesterday I found something interesting that I can't identify. The dates engraved make me think it may be old (3/8/01 and 3/5/19), but I'm not even sure what it is. Does anyone have an idea of what it may be? The name engraved is Roy Frayer. Thanks
    Brad

I forgot to post that the item is oval at about 1.5 inches high and 2 inches long. It is extremely thin metal; kind of like the thickness of a military dog tag

It might be some kind of memorial tag. Perhaps the deceased died just short of his 18th birthday. So sad.

    Welcome to TNet.
Here I’m sitting, broken hearted, removed my spacesuit and insulating underclothes, attached the plastic bag, strapped myself into the zero gravity toilet, activated the suction mechanism, and only farted.

As the biker approached, his tee-shirt said “ MAKE 7 “ . As he roared away it said “UP YOURS”.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Perhaps he died from injuries received in WW 1 that ended only five month before his DOD.
