    Lead Seal

Found this in a park in Florida. It is about the size of a nickle but about a quarter inch thick. I tried to search the webs and only found this link Plombs de scelles "S.ST.A. LEOPOLDS HALL"
I have no idea what it is for or how old it is. Anybody know anything about this.

Wouldn't it be in reverse if it was a seal. I don't know. I'm just curious.

I believe that bale seals were like ID tags to hang on things like bags of textiles and whatnot for content identification. Not a letter seal like you would press into wax that would be in reverse.
