    Token?

    Stopped at a rummage this past weekend. Everything else was “white trash” and garbage. This token/round just seemed so out of place and was in with the jewelry. She made me promise to give her some money if it was worth a million dollars. Cost me a quarter.

    Any help with identification? The condition is rough and I can see more text in the photo than looking directly at it. Although I still can’t make out a lot, below is my best guess. One of the people looks vaguely religious. Maybe German?

    Face Side (or picture side)
    Outer text: E Bald Halte Was Du Rastiofer IL S? Siene IOK KO

    Other Side (non-picture side)
    Outer Text: Wort U. Luthers Lehr Vergehet nun U. Nimmer mehr (Star) ?ottes
    Inner Text Vierteljahrhundert
    J?HRI?
    ?EPO ?
    D 81 Oct. 1867

    Thank you!

    An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

    Vierthalbuundert= quarter century
    Actually,
    Vierteljahrhundert
    I believe part of it reads (in German) "luthers lehr vergehet nun und nimmermehr" meaning Luther's doctrine now and never goes away.
