I have searched and searched for information on this old button, but to no avail.
Anybody ever seen one like this before? It only measures 10mm in diameter, and the back has no markings.

The back appeared to be solid, and I was going to photograph it for you, but as luck would have it I dropped it and it rolled under some built in bookshelves here at the office.. never to be seen again.

Those book shelves sound like the kind of place you aught to be hunting. I'd grab a yard stick or coat hanger and start fishing.
