    Found in Norfolk Virginia, I think. late '90s.

    Mining camps and logging camps handed out similar tokens to these as employee ID#'s, many had a matching numbered token attached to their spot at the cookhouse tableClick image for larger version.

    Dang! Your smaller one looks exactly like mine. So other than the fact that yours was found at a logging camp and mine wasn't, there's good reason to believe that they both served the same general purpose. Thanks!

    Possibly a Chit. We used chits in the military as a way to keep track of tools. A set of numbers was assigned to a person who gave up a chit for a tool. When the tool was returned, the chit was given back to the worker.
