Estate Sale Find Pr. Of Brass Iron Shaped Objects

Hi Everyone! My Uncle found this pair of Brass Iron Shaped Objects at an estate sale in Tulsa, OK. and we canít figure out what they are. They have handles that fit your hand really good. They look like some kind of clothes irons but they are too rough on the bottom and would snag clothes. There arenít any markings. Any ideas? Thanks for looking!

looks like lifting lugs or handles that would be brazed to a copper or brass tank or possibly large kettle.

That’s what I thought at first too. But then I noticed they aren’t very smooth on bottom. Thanks for your reply!

Masons tools might be right. Like maybe to smooth morter onto stones or something like that? Thanks for the input!

it does not have the mass on the flat part to hold heat, or correct handle size or orientation to be an iron

Lots of matches here for "slave iron," "sleeve iron," etc.
