Hi everyone, thank you so much for helping with this coin. It is not my coin. I'd never heard of this coin and couldn't find much information online during a brief search last night. My friend lives in another state and only sent me the two pictures and asked for assistance. I chatted with him early this morning and he was excited. I let him know that it looks like a brass replica so he wouldn't get his hopes up too high. Since he isn't a treasure hound like us here on this forum, he asked how to get it tested for gold. I recommended that he take it to a reputable coin shop in his town to see if it is indeed gold. I will ask him for better pictures now. I will keep you posted! --Darren

EDIT: And the "R" in the photo of a replica posted above mine.
Not sure I see the R, but I see and "f" maybe stands for fake?

Here's what was described as a Replica stamped with the letter T

By the way, I also found a reference from 1994 about Replicas - and still searching for earlier references.

I'm still waiting on additional photos. It's in the owner's court at this time. If anything exciting, or interesting comes about from him, I'll post it. In the mean time, please don't bother to spend any more time on it. Thanks for your assistance and interest. GL&HH!

I don't think there is any chance of this coin being genuine. It definitely appears to be a cast coin, not die struck.
