This one Iím super frustrated with, I saw the silver color and tried brushing it with naval jelly and an old tooth brush and it took the silver off... I thought naval jelly wouldnít harm paint or plating but it def did, I know itís very hard to see still. I put it in some apple cider vinegar to see if I canít get it any more clean without destroying any more details. I know itís probably a long shot and Iím posting before itís clean but I donít want to wait a few weeks to post.

Your second item might be part of a suspender buckle, but without a size reference, I might be way off on that guess.

I hear naval jelly is super hard to use. like you have to apply and rinse and repeat. leaving it on too long or scrubbing too hard and it can be ruined.

Item 1 is a pivot point with a grease pot from a machine of some kind. Maybe a stationary engine?

I rubbed it with a charcoal pencil to try to tease out some more details, seems thin to be an effective part of a clip but I donít know much about suspenders I assumed it was attached to something metal, i was also hoping maybe somebody had found one in better condition and could see what the image was

Dc a stationary engine would be a very good possibility since I think itís an old (for this area) late 1800ís farm site picked up another horse shoe and buckles along with a plate for a door knob and a piece of a Holmes booth and Haydenís kerosene lamp

Or an axle mount from a factory cart. Although yours does not seem very heavy duty...

Item 2 is definitely part of a man's suspender buckle/adjuster. Turn of the 20th C.

So I know what to look for in the future, What about the suspenders clip tells you that time frame?

I'm pretty sure your second piece is part of a book.
The material on the back looks like part of the cover.
Simular to this one I pulled from the net.
