    need help

    A friend of mine dragged this up off the bottom brought it to me to clean up it looks like gold plated at on time but now mostly copper the top looks like a stone setting and has a hole threw it I'm thinking Cain top this item found near a old place were a shipwreck is known to be from 1850 i thing

    But I need some educating, please

    How would that fit a cane?

    It looks either too small for a 'walking cane', or is it off a gentleman's 'swagger stick' ?
