Getting started at an old farm and came across this. I thought maybe it was a toy cannon barrel. Heavy and I think brass. Any ideas?

    Thanks, GM

I don't have a clue what it is Gene, but I don't think it's from a toy cannon.
It looks to have been cast in one-piece for a specific purpose.

In 2012 I found a toy cannon at an old stage coach hotel stop, here's a pic for comparison.
That was way back when I used to detect without gloves.

Both ends are open which makes me think probably not a toy mortar cannon.

Thanks Dave. I didn't see any toys like it online either but am curious about the offset pins. It seems like they are meant to pivot in something. And there's the well and hole, maybe to accept oil or some other liquid, or maybe a vent hole. Probably random farm junk.

It's a bearing/shaft mount from a piece of machinery. The hole and indent is for oil. I have a corn grinder that has those on both sides.
