    Interesting that none in that thread have a similar profile as shown in the first picture I posted. They are all pretty flat.

    That's one of the cool things about suspender clips. There's jillions of em and all kinds of shapes. On your question about the image you posted, they would be the bottom of the strap where they clip to the waist band generally but depends on the kind of suspender. Some smaller ones can be on woman's wear too. Some will have hooks. Some have clips with teeth that grab material. Some have rings where they attach to hooks on the other part of the suspender or loop on the wast band. Some have snaps. I think there is another post that was here that showed some spectacular collections. Bunches of them!
