    Tin Cup? Possibly military?

Anyone know anything about this cup? Found in Chesterfield VA about 10” in the ground. It was smashed flat but I cleaned it up and straightened it out with my fingers. No markings that I can see and it’s very small, approximately 2 inches.

Could also be Beanie Weanies. I have found several like that and I am pretty sure its one of those two.

welcome to treasurenet , digging cans is part of this great hobby , I assure you it won't be the one you dig. it was most likely left there by a hunter or relic hunter.

Yes, they got it right. Lots of diggers left them when pursuing Civil War relics. I have found quite a few.

Tony in SC, a little rinsing and it becomes a shot glass. Military in the field are very innovative. There is a multitude of different fluids that were transported in their canteens also.

The lower internal edgework/curving ledge suggests it is a planting pot.
