    Large Military decoration

Hi all, what would you call this? I was thinking it's from WW1 era. I found 3 general service buttons, and a mustard jar there with a patd date of 1917. It's about 1.75"
    Thanks!Click image for larger version.

Thanks for the quick ID! Strange to find the coat buttons and a bridle rosette in the same spot. Makes you wonder what happened for them to be there.

It does make you wonder. I've found a bunch of great seal button's at weird random spot's across my property. And a rosette next to my machine shed.

After the war, a lot of the horse stuff found its way into agriculture. Clothes were we're worn, too. Finding rosettes and buttons in crop fields isn't all that uncommon.

This is so true of the War of 1812 and WWI & II finds we uncover here in Canada.
These men returned home after the war with their uniforms and horse tack, sometimes even their horses, this is why we find so much of it on the old homesteads.

    Nice find Nick,

I did more research on my bridle rosette, turns out it's one of the first eagle rosettes made. Used in model 1902. The way to tell is the loop is in the center and made with thinner metal. The ones after were thick metal and the loop was off set to have a left and right rosette
