    Is this a bullet?

Found on high school grounds. Not unusual at 5 inches down as some clad is found at that depth. This piece is 1/14 long and 7/16 diameter. Weight is 29.25 grams. Any help would be appreciated. This site is only going to let me post one pic.

Look like a slug (from a bullet) to me, maybe from a .30-30 Winchester cartridge. Check to see if it's magnetic (lead is not).

Think it is a 455 grain 44 caliber paper patched, possibly Sharps rifle projectile.
