every bar in America issued these types of things, big and small. If you really want to know, the best way to hunt this down would be to find a connection in Milpitas, California, local newspaper, library, an old time establishment. Someone there will know, you have to find them.

    Smith's Corners

    Wiki:
"Presumably, this hotel burned down and "Smith's Corner," which still stands, was built in 1895, by John Smith, as a saloon that served beer and wine to thirsty travelers for a century before becoming a restaurant in 2001.["

Thats so true. I've been searching for about a week now, but its really fun trying to figure it out. When I get stuck, I like asking you guys who have been at it longer than me.
Unfortunately Milpitas historical society doesn't have a big collection and seems like it wasn't formed that long ago. When covid dies down and they open up again it will be one of my stops. I'm only 20mins from there

That was the John Smith I thought it might be, but couldnt find the saloon name tied to Smith's Corners. Or if John Smith's middle initial started with an F.

Built in the mid-1900 by John F. Smith at the intersection of the Alviso-Milpitas Road with the Oakland Highway, Campbell's corners was known for most of its life as Smith's Corner. A favorite watering place at this busy intersection, the saloon catered to both residents and travelers alike. The corner has been the site of a saloon since Milpitas first became a community in the mid-1800s.

Great find Nick, it's even better now that you know the history behind it.
