    1800s Tavern find.

The stuff in this photo is a mix of stuff found over the past week at an early-mid 1800s home and tavern from about the same time period that are both now an apple orchard. The thing I am wondering about is the curved piece of iron below the axes. It's very thin and seems like it may have been decorative but I really have no idea. Also, it was found at the tavern, not the homesite.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or guesses at its purpose!
I'm gathering some stats on the ratios of big coppers to silvers at pre-1850 sites, please help me out and check out this post!

Looks like a hoof scraper to me, used one similar to it taking care of a few horses as a child.

If you could possibly post a pic of your find in it's original size, this pic is only 160.kb
It looks familiar, but it would be helpful to be able to get a close up.

Noah_D, you've been busy - just look at that nice assortment of finds Agree w/ Dave about posting a larger picture of the curved piece. Also when you look at it from the side is it flat or curved?

Thanks, very busy indeed... I don't hunt as often as some people do so, but this was about 12 hours of hunting this week. My pp was at Garrett for repairs and I finally got it back yesterday around noon. If I had had my pp I don't doubt I could have found a ton more at this site!

Also, it is slightly curved but I can't tell if it is regular across the entire item (like if it was a hoop or something) or if I accidentally bent it pulling it out of the ground.

Could be a dough scraper, but don't see any evidence of where a handle connected. Might also be a non-descript piece of metal.

Yep, oh well. Looked neat... probably belongs to the bucket full of broken tractor parts and other junk from the site.
