It could be an old very corroded, hand made gun powder container

    New to the hunt!

If it was made to be a club head for killing or making tools, It wouldn’t have been hollowed out I would think. Was it found in the woods, a field or beach? I think it was made to hold something of need obviously. Maybe used by a tribe for hunting, it was filled with poison to dip their arrows inside then corked with leather or cloth for safe carrying.

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Elars704! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) - members may have more success helping you (your location may help, etc.)...
2nd - I moved ya from METAL DETECTING over to WHAT IS IT? for more exposure.
