    Suspender buckle??

    Good afternoon
Was hoping someone might have some info on this item. It was dug in Georgia , not by me however. Any ideas would be great. Is it a suspender buckle? Possiable year? Time frame era? Military / civilian?
    Thank you for any help

I think a suspender clasp is the most reasonable guess, but could the military ever have issued such an ornate accessory?

Yup, and thats a nice one. I too have not seen one like it. Pretty cool. They often have a patent date stamped on them....maybe take a closer look.

Patent info was probably on the bar which is missing..
