The orange and blue one look like the ones I would cut out of spray paint cans back in the 70's. The other one surely a marble.

    Re: old marbles??

My Wife says they are real old. They have the dimples in them. They were held on a spindle and spun. Probably early 1900's, late 1800's. Her Grandfathers marbles didn't have the dimples in them so they were before that. He was born in 1904. Nice finds! They dig marbles in old outhouses too. Limestone marbles helped with stomach problems.

    Re: old marbles??

These are machine made marbles from the 1920's - '50's. The dimples are called "Hen pecks" which are nothing more than tiny chips. There are valuable marbles and machine made era marbles are still hot, but yours are the more common colors. Transparent, single colors are very common. Certain "swirls" are more desirable. They are called many names: John Deere, Superman, Brick etc. Get a good marble book and watch what you find. Condition is everything in collectables. Good hunting, David@Dixie

    Re: old marbles??

Flyingguy, yup it is a clay marble. The colored ones were made in Germany, with blue ones and red ones being extremley rare. They can be found in sizes ranging from 3/8th. inch all the way up to I think 1 inch. I found bag of granite marbles in my back yard, even more rare than yours, I sold them before I found out what they were worth......D'oh!
