MY FIRST REAL FIND!!! WHAT IS IT?

Ok, I found this about 2 inches down on a old 1850's gravel road so since it was in with a bunch of rocks I assume it couldn't get down in the ground because of all the rocks. Well I think its a beer bottle top of some kind but I cant find any like it, its got a lion no words the other side is just the indentation of the front and the bent in sides, its much weaker then normal ones. I'm guessing aluminum, If anyone could help let me know.

Is it a threaded screwcap for a bottle or is it a stopper for a corktop? Is hard to tell by the pic.

Agree. It is called a 'T' top cork. Obviously, yours is missing the cork part...
