Help Id My belt buckle I dug today

Hello Guys and Gals. I am new to tresurenet and what better way to introduce myself than asking for some expierenced buckle guys there opinions. I dug this buckle today and have no clue where to start looking for the symbol so I can id it. It is a Shepherds staff, sword in a crown with 3 rings connecting. If you guys have any idea what it is and how old it is please let me know. Thanks in advance and thanks for letting me join up.

Darn right this is a banner find. Not many I.O.O.F. belt plates out there. Especially dug plates. Great Job Bud. Very nice find indeed.

Wow ..You guys work fast. I searched for hours last night trying to figure this one out. So is it a good find?? I am going to have to do some reading looks like today. Man I can't thank you guys enough. This looks like something i should hold onto. I live in Natchez, Mississippi and that is where this came from. It was about 8 inches down in the ground. Looks like I am going to have to go back and do more digging to see what else I can find. You guys think it is worth alot?

P.S. What is a BANNER FIND

How much should we charge him?? (Just a joke. Tony is the only one we send bills to, because he pays them.)

The company that made the buckle probably used the shield as their logo. If he cleans that area he "might" find some information.

I would use a tooth brush and dishsoap to start and then maybe olive oil, but wait for more ideas so you have a choice!

Should I bid on this complete belt? Its only at $41.00. What is its worth?
I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

Re: Help Id My belt buckle I dug today

It's worth what someone will pay for it. If you are seriously interested though just keep an eye on it and/or bid. Chances are it will go up though...and possibly dramatically in the last remaining seconds(literally). I just put it on my "my ebay" watch list, it ends tomorrow, so we'll soon see.
