    Help IDing

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this. The folks at treasure Quest think it is a watch fob! It is made of silver, and is stamped not cast. it has a strap loop on the back. No markings I found it near a 4 hole stamped brass button, with "Improved Suspender" stamped on it. The button dates to the mid 1800's. Any help you folks can provide would be gratefully apreciated.

Most likely watch fob. But it might also be a pull chain for a lamp. What ever it is, it is a nice find!

How is it stamped to identify the silver. Does it say Sterling or .925 or is it marked at all? That will help on the age.

Did you clean that up or find it like that? Very shiny and nice details.

That just may be about one half of a belt with the other half looking the same. I have seen it before but that is all that comes to me right now.

It was tarnished, untill I cleaned it, I thought it was brass.

My guess is also a watch fob. Late 19th - early 20th c. Nice find! These sometimes bring decent $$$.

Could also be part of a sword hanger.
