    Unusual piece of lead

Found these items last week and all were within about a 30' radius. Several buttons, a heel plate, copper rivets and a full mold of lead with some very interesting stamp marks on it. It has some leaves stamped on it. Two on the top and one on the bottom. It measures 2-1/2" accross the top and stands 1-1/2" tall.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

    Re: Unusual piece of lead

It looks almost like some of the lead ingots a plumber friend of mine has,
He scrapes together all of his slops for a day or two and will melt them all into a single ingot for reuse at another time.
He tells me he can make good money just going through a big job picking up slops and splashes.
There is a pretty good salvage on lead.

    Re: Unusual piece of lead

Maybe an ingot of lead small enough to be transported easily sa a ready source. might have been carried for making more balls for a muzzleloader. But what do I know Bob
