Its a Netherlands token from the 15th century commemorating the murder of Willem de Zwijger. Its worth about $75.

william of orange was a high noble -- thus the horrible punishment --meant to discourge any other folks thinking of killing a "royal" person --- just the ideal of getting of that type of "punishment" would make anyone think twice before acting on an urge.
