    part of Colonial knife?

    I found this at my site on the river bank.I didnt have a clue as to what it is until i saw derek752, old colonial knife in his post....I think it maybe the end to a old knife .It is made of pewter i think.Any help for a match or date would be great......Thanks

    Looks more like an early toy pistol handle. The iron residue was part of the mechanism, it looks broken where the mid section & barrell would attach.

    Its not a British style of Knife (if thats what it is )

    You could be right crusader.Like a flintlock pistol, another pick,it looks like it would also come apart at the handle....

    Yeap, its a flintlock style pistol (thats what I meant by pistol, although I should have been clearer)
