ID THIS!
Its some kind of bracket thingy. My guess is for hanging something, i dunno. I found it weird that there are temperatures written on it. 360degF and 182degC. The loop can move side to side, as it is mounted on a bearing like thing in the middle. It has all kinds of writing on it, so Im sure someone here will id it. I found it under the bleachers at my local fairgrounds. Heres the pics. Any ideas
Interesting things found so far:3 gold rings, silver ring and silver earring, silver cross pendant, metal arrowhead

LOL... Hey - call the number for the price on the website and ask what it's used for... then when he tells you - just hang up!

They are probably used in an arc-welder so they won`t draw too much current.

Re: ID THIS!
a fusible link melts when a certain temp (360 degres F in this case ) is reached often triggering a shutdown of a vent system or setting off some type of foam or water sprinkler device or closing a door to set a fire boundry area--its for fire prevention ---we had fusible links onboard ship in our vents so if a pot or deep fryer caught fire the flames would not shoot up the vents and cause a vent fire the fusible link held open a flap once it melted the spring loaded flap shut cutting off the oxygen source and spraying co2 up the exhust vent (vent fires are very dangerous on ships) aka as a "stack fire" -- that one looks it might be a hold back for a "fire" door --the door is held open via ---hook and eye--- the hook part is mounted to the wall and your "eye" part on the door thus people are free to go about their bussiness but in case of fire the fusible link the metal "eye" melts letting the door close thus containing the fire within a certain area. ----the hole in it goes on a peg on the special "fire" resistant doors ---- most likely some "fire prevention" workman most likely had it in his pocket left over from work when he went to the fairgounds and set down it dropped out , also the fairgrounds itself very likey would have fire boundry doors for safety reasons -- Ivan

Re: ID THIS!
I agree with Ivan. A pretty thorough description. Heres another link. http://www.globetechnologies.com/
Globe Technologies is a premiere manufacturer of high quality fusible links used in the fire protection industry. Our fusible links are used as thermal release mechanisms in several applications, including fire extinguishing systems for restaurant cooking areas, fire doors, fire dampers, and many more. Our products comply with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., Factory Mutual Research Corporation and NFPA Requirements. With fusing temperatures from 135° F to 500° F and various load ratings, Globe Technologies is your link to quality and dependability
I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines. I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.
