    button help please

    I found this button near a pewter button but not sure of the age of it or what style these are called any help would be great, thanks.[img][/img]

    its Army but im not sure of the age. i found a few of those at the WW2 Army air base i been hunting...aa

    Looking at your pic, it almost looks like a cufflink or a collar button. Can we get a clearer pic? It looks like it has a "shaft" on it, then a bulbous type shape on the back end. Doesn't look like a button to be sewn on. Could be wrong. Noodle

    No, they weren't sewn on— hence the name "tack button." Here's a link showing the button's construction:
