Had this awhile

Ive had this awhile it was found at a old homsted likley pre 1800's I also found another in Calvert, just like it. no markings the screw holes are tapered so it dident hing, its 3" x1 3/8" the not pictured side is just flat its made of Brass, Any clues??

Way to go oldsledz great ID! I had about 20 of these antique Mahoghany levels with the brass ends. About 1890-1900. They sold them all over the country. I couldnt sell them for 5 bucks ea.

Well those bubbles do wear out over time
