    No picturte yet

Don't have a picture, but I found a very porous black rock that is very light weight. It is pretty sol, I can't crumble it with my hands at all. It comes up on my ace250 somewhere around a nickel.

    Re: No picturte yet

It was about 8" deep in my yard, no railroad tracks anywhere in the area. The place I live at was once of the first homesteads in the area and I am pretty sure that the guy who lived here was a blacksmith, due to some of the tools and weird slugs of metal I have found.
Could it be something to do with old time blacksmithing?

Coke turns up all over the place. The old engines were used not only for trains etc
