    Indian artifact found in S.C., Catawba river

    A friend found this in the Catawba River in S.C. It is stone about 5" long, 3" wide with the notched area about 2" x2". It has three rows with the bottom row broken off. It resembles a meat tenderizer hammer. What is it?

    It is a scalloped paver edging for landscaping that someone used for a boat anchor.
