It's not a button from under the button tree
I have a tree I frequent that usually pops out a button or two just about every time I go there. This time it popped this thing out. Not sure what it is...I have had suggestions ranging from an ingraver, or an instrument mouthpiece to a plum bob. If anyone can give some insight as to what this is that would be great...Thanks for looking,Genool

I am of the opinion it is NOT a plumb bob...
I looks like a mouthpiece... But of course I dunno.

Does it look like it could be the tip of a flag stick? Does anyone have a picture of one? It looks like it is an ornamental piece of something that was broken off.

My grandmother use to have a couple of these or ones looking like them that she used somehow to make a rug. I think she used them to space the braids on a braided rug? Probably not the same but similar looking. Monty

I do think it looks like it belongs to a bellows. Looks like the tip is broken off of it.. Here is a picture I found. Compare the picture on the right to my pictures. Looks very similar.
Thanks for everyones help...
