Personally, i would go with the 9.50 as it will be easier to get around in the woods and will still give you decent coverage at the beach.

When I got my MXT PRO I sold the 12" and got the 10x12 SEF coil which I love. I also have the 6x10 and have used the 10DD and the 950 coil. The thing that I like about the SEF is that it works well in trashy areas as well and is much deeper than the other coils. The 12" is a great coil is you are going to be hunting trash free sites or relic hunting in the fields. But it will drive you nuts if much trash around. The 950 stock coil is also a great all around coil. Honesty I believe any of the coils will work well for you. I does not hurt to get extra coils (and lower rods for quick change). And don't forget to get a pin pointer if you don't have one already. Will save you a lot of time.

I'd go with the 950 coil. The 950 makes a good all around coil. The 12" is heavy and it's difficult to find a place where it would be a top choice.

Yep the 950 will be better suited more places than the 12" coil would be. HH
