XLT swing speed?

Can I get some input on how fast I should swing my machine. Normally I swing very slow but just read the machine works better with a fast swing. Anyone notice a difference either way?

The main difference I noticed on the XLT between a slow swing and a faster swing was depth. I could not hit a deeper target with the slow swing speed but if I swung the coil faster the XLT would go deeper. I don't know or understand why that's the case and I am sure there is a technical answer but that's the way it was for me. I also had an Eagle Spectrum and the same thing applied. That was my main reason I got rid of it because it just wore me out having to swing it like a weedeater. I can swing my DFX slow and it really does a nice job. I don't notice the depth change with it.

Thank you for the info, every bit helps. I also like to swing slow, I feel that I cover an area better.
