My Pro is smooth, not sure what the controversy is about that....I recently had my Pro at the Whites factory to have the headphone jack replaced and when the technician brought it out to me he stated it "had all the mods", so maybe the later models were tweaked by the factory as they came out. Not sure, but stability hasn't been a problem of mine.

I think the original TDI was susceptible to issues as there is lots of talk on the forum about mods being done by individuals to those units.

I have seen many tests and the Pro is quite a bit deeper with its power pack than the SL. The SL is lighter however the PRO is hip/chest mountable making it very light to swing.

No experience with Coiltek, but just received a new nugget finder sadie coil after I compiled all the test results from Karelians recently completed comparison testing over in OZ. I am taking it out for a test drive this afternoon.
