New DFX got a ride home with me from my dealer today
I had lost my DFX to a thief two years ago and since I mainly water hunt I didn't replace it till today. I have a few land detectors, but I needed to replace the DFX. I purchased from a local Whites dealer that also handled the other major brands. He even gave me the 4X6 DD sniper coil along with some other goodies that isn't offered with the package. I wasn't about to order it from big K and have UPS toss it around the truck.
It was together in less than a minute since I had owned one before, but I had forgotten the settings I used in my pro programs. It will be fun to relearn them again when the ground thaws.

Congrats Sandman, glad to see you eliminated any reasons for NOT getting another DFX. Water hunting has the big rewards and I've done it for many years; but you know, I always enjoyed the challenge of land hunting those older silver coins and what-have-you just as much or more. Different detecting pursuits keep life interesting. HH and good luck...Jim.
Time, oh good sweet time...where did you go?

Re: New DFX got a ride home with me from my dealer today
Thanks Eu!! I've been away a long time rock hunting in Northern Ontario, and between that and Christmas, my posts have been restricted. I hope to post a thread within a month or so regarding that trip under the Metal Detecting sub-forum. Hope you've been able to get out to do some rock hunting yourself, I know you enjoy an interest in geology too.
I enjoy reading our good friend Sandman's posts, he's a skilled veteran and a great guy with a dandy sense of humour. He's helped many members here for a long time.
Happy New Year to both you Eu... and of course to Mr. Sandman, all the best in the coming year.
Jim.

Re: New DFX got a ride home with me from my dealer today
Yeah, the evil side of the Force had me for awhile. The use of the DFX is slowly coming back to me and it will take some experimentation to come up with my program that I thought was a gold killer for them rings. I wish now I would have written them down.
My dumb brother in law is beside himself because I won't give him any of my other detectors. He has a habit of dropping them too.
