5'' dd excelerator coil from Kellyco

Is there anyone that has or is using the 5"dd excelerator coil from Kellyco? What do you think of it compared to other coils?

Re: 5'' dd excelerator coil from Kellyco

    Got one for my DFX.

I only know one word for it in comparison to other coils.. TINY
It separates trash like a champ and if you have some really dense trash I'd put my bet on this coil.

Though I've never meet trash so dense that I have to use this coil..
Only tried it a few times and it finds metal all right, I get at least 5" depth with it without any problems; very stable coil.

    Hope this helps,
    Eu

I thought that it would be about the same as a 4x6dd coil except with better coverage....

I just ordered a 10" D2 coil cover for $14 and Greg said that the coverage will be less because it is 5 inches compared to 6 inches but will go a bit deeper. Thus, they will be very close because they are both DDs.

Re: 5'' dd excelerator coil from Kellyco

I have the 5" EXcelerator on an M6 and sold my 4"x6"Eclipse for the same reason Greg mentioned. I want the deeper smaller coil hunting trashy areas so when it slips between very close objects you may hear a deeper faint signal, will also isolate very close objects, and gets closer to fixed structures. The 5" EXcelerator reminds me of the 350 Snooper used on my IDX Pro. Two great coils for extreme trashy sites. HH Bill
