Seems strange that we are not getting any information on White's TDI from users. How does it compare to the other PIs out there including minelabs, Infiniums, Surf Pros?

Yes i know the E-Trac came out for $1500.00 and the ..TDI came out for $1500.00.. and every one and there brother bought the E-Trac and it seems like no one has a..TDI.. what i read about it it would be a lot better than the E Trac if you were just coin hunting so it could not be the price if you are willing to pay $1500.00 for the Etrac to find a silver dime.............And what i read was the ..TDI has good discrimination can block out iron and tabs. for coin hunters when set up right &, good for Gold ..and the Beach......................

I received a PM asking me what I thought of the TDI. I responded that I don't think I am going to get one at this time. Soon we will hear from someone that is finding lots of goodies from 3 feet down and we'll all have to get one.

I read a report on the detector in Lost Treasure magazine a couple of months back and it was a favorable article. It was designed for prospecting but it should be a good beach detector as long as you keep it in the sand. Would be impossible to recover a coin at the depths indicated in the article in the dirt.

Well they say it is a good coin detector also if set up right Steve Herschbach said that it will not give any responses to most steel& iron, aluminum and bottle caps none of that will signal if set up right . He said that pyrposefully misadjusting certain controls makes it a good coin detector........and he used it and it worked for him..... Steve said with the unit off , set the TDI Gain at 12 , Pulse Delay at 10uS , Ground balance knob at 1.5 , GEB switch On , Target Conductivity On then turn the unit power on , set for faint threshold and you are ready for coin & jewelry hunting................

The article I read made mention to the recovery of a nickle in California in the sand at 18 inches. That would be most difficult to recover here in the rocky soil of the Ozarks. You would need a sharp shovel and a strong back to recover that, and it would probably be a zinc penny.

[b]Heard a rumor TDI,s were slow in comming. Somrthing about Dist. needing some training, so as to assist buyers. Learning curve is above average. Just wonder whatr took Whites so long in putting it out? They have been rideing the DFX-Along time.
