    Prizm III VS MXT

I currently in the market for a new metal detector. I currently use a Prizm III, and am interested in upgrading to a MXT. Can anyone tell me if an upgrade to an MXT would really help me in finding deeper signals, or should I hold off and save up for a better model. My main goal is to find deeper targets. I wont be able to afford a better coil until a later date as well. Any help would be greatly apprecieted.

All i can tell you is that i had a..XLT and a DFX .. and a .MXT. and if i was to get a Whites again it would be the .. MXT .. I thought the MXT was better than the XLT or DFX so if you want the better model you would get the .. MXT ,,
THAT'S RIGHT I DID IT SO WHAT , CRY TWO TEARS IN A BUCKET , FACE IT , LET'S TAKE IT TO THE STAGE....---LET NO ONE KNOW WHAT WHERE OR WHEN -----

coil choices for the mxt are very abundant....if you do not plan on looking for gold a M6 will save u about $100 and u still get all of the great coils available on the MXT/DFX/V3....larger coils=more depth but there are tradeoffs including loss of target seperation, sensitivity and pin pointing issues

The Prizm III is a good STARTER machine..... you can find things with it.... but you need an M-6 or higher to really find things..... MXT is a very good machine... you will go back over the same spots you have hit with your Prizm and find coins, nice coins that it simply missed

    spot on mate!!!
I almost bought an M6, and opted for the MXT. About a year later, after reading the "issues" posts with the M6, I am glad I opted for the MXT. I would still be proud to own an M6, but I think you may appreciate the virsitillity of the MXT. Gives you more arrows for the quiver...
