Eagle II Sl Programing Question. (Thanks Yeti!)
Wondered why I wasn't reading on gold rings. Passed test ring over coil and it went negative. Went to the all metal mode and it read a solid VDI of 30. Have both basic and advanced manuals. Read the manuals several times and still don't get "IT!" In the regular discrimination mode I understand how to ACCept and REJect a particular target VDI but don't understand how to make it permanent in the early Eagle II SL's. Is there a link where this is explained step by step for the complete "idiot?" Thanks

Re: Eagle II Sl Programing Question. (Heeeeeeelp
I have both the early SL (no U1 & U2) and the later SL (w/U1 & U2) models. Is there anyone that can tell me if a factory preset program can be changed and saved? If they can, how do you do it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

LX,
I have the Eagle II SL 90, and I use a program made by Daryl Townley....it works great!
Give me a little time to locate it and I will get it to you.

Here's the program that Tom sent to me.
To change the factory pre-programed accept/reject settings:
Turn power on, pull the trigger. You are now in the Edit mode. Pressing the Edit Up pad increases the number, pressing the Edit Down pad decreases the number. To accept a number, press Clear/Accept. To reject a number, press Set/Reject. We will only be dealing with the positive numbers 0-95.
0-8 reject
9-19 accept
20-24 reject
25-35 accept
36-37 reject

54-56 reject
57-95 accept
* Pull trigger to get out of the Edit mode.
Advanced User Functions
To change the factory pre-programed settings:
With the power on, pull and hold the trigger while pressing the Edit pad. You are now in the Advanced User Functions Mode. To increase the number, press the Edit Up pad. To decrease the number, press the Edit Down pad. To change from one function to another, press the Volume Up pad to go to the next higher function or press the Volume Down pad to go to the next lower function.

Hey Yeti,
That looks like a copy of my program.
I know I posted it on here somewhere.....I just can't remember where.

Re: Eagle II Sl Programing Question. (Thanks Yeti!)
The program will stay in memory after you turn it off. If you remove the batteries, you will lose the program. If I remember right. If you swap the batteries in so many seconds ( less than 30 seconds ) the program will remain in memory.
Tip,,,,
After pin pointing with the coil. Bounce the coil up and down. If you get a good solid tune. The object is good if the tune breaks not solid then the object is most likely junk. ( bottle cap, pull cap, twisted aluminum ) This works with any program on the Eagle.
