    PI Pro stuck lower rod

I have a PI Pro water machine and the lower fiberglas rod is stuck in one position . I have never had it in salt water and I rinse with freash water after each use. If anybody else has had this problem it would be much appreciated of how to loosen so I can retract for transportation. Thanks Triple Nickel

Re: PI Pro stuck lower rod

This happens to most water detectors that get wet. It isn't the salt but the sand that has the pole stuck. I have used WD-40 with some sucess. If you place a screwdriver in the coil assembly and Lightly tap it with a hammer downward Lightly you might move some sand. Also be careful twisting the shafts as I once broke one. Course it is easy to buy a new shaft assmebly. I now cover all the holes in the shaft with tape to try to keep out the sand.

Just be careful and good luck.
