Coinmaster Classic III & Mr. Bill's Mods

Picked up a Coinmaster Classic III and was wondering what would be the most important mod to get from Mr. Bill? Got any suggestions? (I know it's old but I'm a sucker for the older detectors that I couldn't afford when I was young!) Thanks, LX Kid

Re: Coinmaster Classic III & Mr. Bill's Mods

My Classic III came in the mail this morning. Took it out in the yard and it really works great!! I put my Black Max 5.3 coil on it, from my Eagle II SL, and it is really a neat detector. I think I like this old detector as much as my MXT. It has a Black Sand setting and will try it out at the beach sometime soon.

Thanks Gibh. I send them an email about a week ago and haven't heard from them!

You might want to try calling him. I do believe he's a one man operation.

    He is.

I would ask him to add GB and THRESH to my CM CL-III, since it already has the Black Sand and frequency shift functions. I did this to my first CM CL-III and it was a basic electronics chop job.
Piece of cake for 'Ol Bill.

I believe he can also add a sensitivity boost to the CM Classic circuit that will get you extra depth at the higher ranges.

And he has nothing else to do, with winter coming on!
You'll get it all. Or you won't
Someone else will get it. Or they won't
Someday, you'll die and leave it behind.
    Act accordingly.

I've got an older Surfmaster PI, if I don't sell it I will send it to Mr Bill for his upgrade. Upgraded is supposed to be comparable to Surf PI Pro.
